National Guideline on Self-Care Interventions for Health and Well-being

On October 31, 2024, during the Safe Motherhood Conference which was organized by the Ministry of Health of Uganda, the Uganda National Guideline on Self-Care Interventions for Health and Well-being was launched. This occasion was officiated by Hon. Jane Ruth Aceng minister of health Uganda.

The National Guideline on Self-Care Interventions for Health and Well-being adopts both a people-centered and health systems approach. The guideline emphasizes equity in self-care, focuses on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), and addresses Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs), while also catering to self-awareness, testing, and management.

We envision that Self-care will accelerate the realization of Universal Health Coverage (UHC) in the country.
